Your mission:
We are looking for an IT Systems Administrator to join our internal IT team, to help deliver the business technical roadmap.
What you’ll be doing:
- Taking direction and overseeing the requirements to deliver the business technical roadmap
- Architect, design and implement technology within the organisation
- Executing SaaS systems (G-Suite & Azure, Anti Virus etc.)
- Lead security efforts, ensuring patch management, risk and threats are sufficiently managed
- Higher level of expertise for support & incident escalation
- Actively seeking & making recommendations to introduce new ideas, products and methods to enhance our IT landscape
- Producing technical documentation
- Assist in developing disaster recovery / business continuity / risk management planning
- Although likely limited - assist in day to day support, deliveries, kit building, onboarding and understand the business support needs and workflows
- Leading in wider projects and initiatives
What we’ll need from you:
- Highly experienced IT professional with expansive skills across the IT landscapeStrong networking skills - routers, switches, firewalls, LAN/WAN/VLAN/IPSec with understanding of CCNA/CCNP routing and switching through either experience or qualifications
- Knowledgeable & competent in cloud services (Azure AD, Intune, GSuite, Atlassian, Anti Virus)
- Experience in IT Automation / Device Management for config and patch management (Intune, Puppet, SCCM, Jamf, Apple MDM)
- Ability to lead our security front in all aspects. Ensuring anti virus definitions/versions are maintained and actively monitoring any security threats ensuring sufficient security service is provided to the business
- Knowledge of deploying & supporting VPN solutions (OpenVPN, L2TP, PPTP etc)
- Experience with scripting with the likes of PowerShell, Python etc highly desirable
- Positive can do attitude and approach to working within an existing IT team, in a company that has a strong and friendly culture
- Ability to thrive in a fast paced and dynamic business, with multiple ongoing initiatives
What would help:
- Backup solutions experience (Veeam, Commvault, Physical disks/tapes)
- High knowledge of servers, storage, UPS etc
- Linux experience highly desirable
- Plan, coordinate and deliver required objectives
- Solve and troubleshoot challenging technical scenarios
- Set the standard for technical expertise & champion quality for the team
- Assist with levelling up peers, by educating and demonstration of technical insights
- Technical certification (CompTIA/Microsoft/CCNA etc)
