RECUR is hiring a Web3 Manager, Payroll
Compensation: $84k - $90k estimated

RECUR’s Controllership team is focused on producing world-class financial reporting for our internal and external stakeholders. We use industry-leading enterprise ERP software as well as cutting-edge tools, and partner with firms and regulatory bodies outside RECUR to answer some of the most interesting questions in cryptoaccounting.
We’re looking for a Payroll Manager to join our Controllership team. This role will also work very closely with the People Department. RECUR is still very much a startup, so this is a hands-on, A-Z role with tremendous opportunity to build and grow.

What you will do at RECUR
- Ensure timely execution of payroll commitments and deadlines, including semi-monthly payroll processing, ad hoc and off-cycle payments
- Identify opportunities for increasing business efficiency through improved manual and automated processes.
- Establish and document policies, procedures, and controls to ensure federal/state/local tax.
- Fully audit and reconcile payroll (salaries, taxes, witholdings, benefits, etc.) in Sequoia, validate accuracy and completion of data prior to transmission.
- Develop the systems and processes for scalability.
- Partner with internal stakeholders (People Operations, Internal Systems, Accounting, Tax, Benefits, etc) as well as external stakeholders (HRIS) on initiatives and drive alignment, especially on reporting requests.
- Respond to employee payroll inquiries, providing outstanding customer service.
- Support payroll operations in new countries as RECUR expands.
What you bring to RECUR
- 6+ years of multi-state, non-exempt and exempt payroll experience.
- Strong understanding of general People Operations & Payroll wage and hour laws, payroll tax laws, functions, and processes.
- Strong problem solving and analytical skills.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
- Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Strong critical thinking and data-analysis skills (e.g., ability to navigate large data sets).
Gold Stars:
- Experience working for a high-growth technology company.
- Experience with Sequoia One PEO HRIS.
- Experience rolling off of a PEO onto other HRIS systems.
- BS degree or equivalent experience in Accounting, Business, Finance or Human Resources.
