Web3 Onboarding/Verification Specialist [Contract Role]

As an Onboarding/Verification Specialist you will follow methodical processes to review user applications and ensure they meet criteria for a CoinList account. You will communicate with users via email to obtain additional information. You’ll be part of a team responsible for KYC ("Know Your Customer") procedures for CoinList's international base of users/customers. You'll work cross-functionally as needed with Compliance, and Support to resolve customer cases end to end.

If you're interested in investigative tasks, fraud detection/prevention, and enjoy working through case work where a resolution may be reached within minutes to at most a few business days please read on. We're also interested in speaking with fast learners, those who are driven and analytically minded, and interested in joining a fast growing startup, with opportunity to venture into other areas of the business.

This is a 6 month contract role with potential to extend or convert.

Must be in a time zone that overlaps with Pacific Time business hours for approximately ~ 4-5 hours.

Role Responsibilities:

• 'KYC' verification, 'client accreditation', and 'due diligence' reviews.
• Work directly with users/customers to collect documents and information to complete verification of both individuals and companies.
• Review business formation / legal documents, for 20-50% of cases you will manage
• Uphold all requirements by being diligent in reviewing and researching applicant profiles and documents.
  • Escalate fraud or Terms of Service violations to appropriate team.
  • Adapt to evolving requirements and changes.

Must Have:

• Attention to detail
• Structured thinking
• Clear and concise writing and communication
• Minimum 1year of experience in a role working through a queue
• Strong organizational skills - to manage multiple client cases at once
• Comfortable diving into technical concepts, navigating backend products, and working with data and spreadsheets

Nice To Have:

• Fluency with a second language
• Background in cryptocurrency/blockchain technology
