Web3 Platform Programs Lead

Compensation: $54k - $100k estimated

Location: CA San Francisco, California, United States

This position is responsible for strategic planning and execution of the Platform team's initiatives, programs and transformational projects.

Responsibilities:

  • Creation of a Platform Roadmap that harmonizes with Blockdaemon's data and product engineering delivery roadmaps.
  • Work with the head of Platform Engineering and across the group you will create and execute on plans designed to transform Blockdaemon's platform infrastructure, with an eye towards future growth and scale.
  • Collaborate closely with Enterprise Architecture, Data, and Blockchain Engineering groups to ensure our infrastructure enables Blockdaemon's product roadmap.
  • Ensure that the Platform Engineering group continues to mature at a velocity consistent with our company's planned growth.
  • Drive the adoption of processes, standards and governance necessary for future regulatory and compliance expectations.
  • Collaborate with Enterprise Architecture to document and create an approach for addressing existing technical debt.
  • Establish service-oriented architecture (SOA); oversee transformation from current-state to well-defined services as part of regular product and project work.
  • Establishment and maintenance of information systems programs and contacts within business units to understand business activities and business drivers, business requirements, solutions strategies and alternatives.
  • Evaluate, improve and streamline application, data and security design aspects of the SDLC.
  • Working with business stakeholders, ensure that functional teams such as Finance and Customer Support have integration pathways to the data they will require in the future.
  • Collaborate with engineering leadership to design service and asset management processes in support of ITSM and ISO/SOC2, etc.
  • Drive creation of a process for evaluating introduction of new technologies to the enterprise landscape in terms of vendor analysis, build-vs-buy decisions, and business case justification.
  • Ongoing research and assessment of new analysis approaches for potential use within the Enterprise.
  • Ideally, you will also act as the company's overall Business Architect.

Qualifications

  • Experience ideating, leading and successfully executing on complex technical projects.
  • Experience with the cloud, bare-metal and mixed ecosystems, including knowledge of trade-offs inherent in specific data patterns inherent to each environment.
  • Experience in a hyper-scale transaction environment, both in terms of volumes and transaction execution time.
  • Preferred experience in a startup, hyper-growth-stage, or disruptively transformational environment.
  • Prior work experience in technical program management, business architecture & analysis, technical consulting, process re-engineering or application delivery/technical engineering role.
  • Broad and extensive technical knowledge of application delivery methods and familiarly with how portfolios of systems work together to create enterprise solutions.
  • Experience with techniques including systems flows, data/business object modeling, use case and user interface prototyping.
  • Experience with product engineering and IT integration environments at a publicly-held or highly-regulated company.
  • Ability to read, interpret and contribute to architecture artifacts for inclusion in M&A playbooks.
  • Outstanding communication skills including demonstrated ability to effectively engage, influence and communicate technical and business issues and solutions to all levels in the organization.
  • Proven ability to drive consensus across a diverse group of technical stakeholders, function business stakeholders, executives, and external partners.
  • At least one example of handling “on-hands-on-deck”/“swarming” situations to resolve production issues within an unforgiving transactional environment.
  • Prefer previous experience driving complex, difficult transformational change within an existing business.
  • Deep knowledge of agile Scrum and Scrumban-like delivery models
