Foundry is hiring a Web3 Procurement Manager

DESCRIPTION: The Procurement Manager is an exciting opportunity for a motivated and passionate individual to join the team at Foundry, a subsidiary of the blockchain industry’s most prolific and active investor, Digital Currency Group. Reporting to the Director of Procurement Systems, the Procurement Manager will manage the company's sourcing capabilities and supply chain, while strategizing and negotiating with suppliers and vendors to acquire the most effective deal while reducing procurement expenses.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES: The Procurement Manager is responsible for the procurement of direct and indirect materials for Foundry. This will include leading the RFQ/RFI and RFP process as well as developing and maintaining supplier relationships. The position will work closely with the business to align on new procurement processes while assisting in the implementation of the Purchasing and ERP systems.
WHAT YOU WILL DO:
- Coordinate purchasing activity to maintain appropriate inventory levels within direct materials based on market demand
- Manage the indirect purchasing activities for the organization
- Establishing the relevant criteria for RFP’s, scorecard metrics, and applying these in procurement activities
- Negotiate pricing and contracts that strike right balance regarding cost effectiveness & quality
- Establish terms & conditions and ensure supplier/vendor compliance of these T&C’s
- Manage multiple suppliers and maintain/develop relationships
- Contribute, coordinate, and influence different team members with the adoption of new procurement processes
- Contribute to the implementation of the Purchasing and ERP systems
Minimum Qualifications; Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- S. in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or equivalent experience
- 5+ years previous purchasing experience
- Knowledgeable within the RFQ/RFI and RFP process
- Background in sourcing electrical, chemicals, and/or engineering industry
- Experience with ERP and/or procurement systems, inventory management, logistics
- Highly motivated, organized and goal-oriented individual
- Familiarity with the blockchain space or a strong desire to learn the space quickly
Preferred Qualifications; Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Experience with international supplier/vendors
- Bilingual in Chinese and English
