Web3 Purchasing Agent

DESCRIPTION: The Purchasing Agent position is an exciting opportunity for a motivated and passionate individual to join the team at Foundry, a subsidiary of the blockchain industry’s most prolific and active investor, Digital Currency Group. Reporting to the Procurement Manager, the Purchasing Agent will manage the company's sourcing capabilities and supply chain, while strategizing and negotiating with suppliers and vendors to acquire the most effective deal while reducing procurement expenses.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES: The Purchasing Agent is responsible for the procurement of direct and indirect materials for Foundry. This will include coordinating the RFQ/RFI and RFP process as well as developing and maintaining supplier relationships. The position will work closely with the business to align on new procurement processes while assisting in the implementation and maintenance of the Purchasing and ERP systems.

WHAT YOU WILL DO:

• Manage the direct & indirect purchasing activities for the organization
• Utilize RFQ’s, RFP’s, and scorecard metrics within the procurement process
• Maintain appropriate inventory levels for various items and components
• Negotiate pricing and contracts that strike right balance regarding cost effectiveness & quality, as well as establishing/enforcing terms & conditions agreed upon
• Manage multiple suppliers and maintain/develop relationships
• Contribute to the adoption of new procurement processes
• Contribute to the implementation and maintenance of the Purchasing and ERP systems
• Provide ad-reporting reporting and inquiries for data to Operations & Finance teams

Minimum Qualifications; Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• S. in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or equivalent experience
• 3+ years previous purchasing experience
• Knowledgeable within the RFQ/RFI and RFP process
• Background in sourcing electrical, chemicals, and/or engineering industry
• Experience with ERP and/or procurement systems, inventory management, logistics
• Highly motivated, organized and goal-oriented individual
• Familiarity with the blockchain space or a strong desire to learn the space quickly

Preferred Qualifications; Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Experience with international supplier/vendors
• Bilingual in Chinese and English
