Web3 Repair Technician

DESCRIPTION: The Repair Technician is an exciting opportunity for a motivated and passionate individual to join the team at Foundry, a subsidiary of the blockchain industry’s most prolific and active investor, Digital Currency Group. The Repair Technician will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of Bitcoin mining hardware and software. The successful candidate will have a strong background in computer hardware, excellent problem-solving skills, and an understanding of the Bitcoin mining process.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Install, configure, and maintain Bitcoin mining hardware, including ASICs, GPUs, and mining rigs
• Troubleshoot and resolve hardware and software issues related to Bitcoin mining equipment
• Monitor Bitcoin mining operations to ensure optimal performance and uptime
• Maintain accurate records of mining equipment, including inventory, maintenance logs, and repair reports
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure the timely resolution of issues related to mining operations
• Stay up to date with the latest developments in Bitcoin mining hardware and software
• Mentor and support junior technicians and interns to enhance their skills and knowledge
• Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a clean working environment
• Perform other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications; Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in computer hardware maintenance and repair, with at least 1 year of experience in Bitcoin mining operations
• Familiarity with Bitcoin mining hardware, including ASICs, GPUs, and mining rigs
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills, with the ability to diagnose and resolve hardware and software issues quickly and efficiently
• Excellent organizational and communication skills, with the ability to maintain accurate records and collaborate effectively with other departments
• Familiarity with Bitcoin mining software, including mining pool software, mining clients, and monitoring tools
• Knowledge of electrical and cooling systems related to Bitcoin mining equipment
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities and requirements
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods of time
• Ability to work in general warehouse environment, which includes high level of noise and periodic hot temperature

Preferred Qualifications; Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred
