Web3 Risk & Internal Control, Specialist

What you’ll do:

• Assist in strengthening the Company’s outsourcing and third party risk management posture by conducting strategic analyses and presenting results to key stakeholders;
• Conduct quarterly testing of internal controls and reviews to ensure compliance with internal policies, external regulations and audit requirements;
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure proper documentation of all policies and procedures applicable to the key controls of significant business processes;
• Identify, lead and support risk management initiatives and projects which strengthens the risk management and internal control posture;
• Provide advisory support and review business initiatives, processes and controls to identify potential risks, control deficiencies, and offer recommendations for continuous improvements; and
• Participate in Web3 industry associations on behalf of the company in order to further the company’s regulatory reform outreach initiatives.

What you’ll need:

• At least 4 - 6 years of working experience in an operational risk, internal control, or internal audit function of a FinTech, digital assets firm, and/or financial institution. Prior experience in a big 4 audit firm will be advantageous;
• Strong knowledge in the application of risk and related control frameworks and practices (i.e. SOX, COSO, regulatory standards);
• Crypto/ blockchain experience is advantageous;
• Able to function independently and in a team environment, with excellent collaboration skills;
• Track record of being meticulous and accurate;
• Be able to present and articulate ideas;
• Genuine interest in developing expertise within the digital assets
• Fluency in English is required.
