The Risk function at Okcoin is responsible for the overall risk and fraud prevention culture at the company. We’re a team of risk-minded problem solvers who advise the business on the company’s regulatory obligations and enterprise risk. We’re also deeply committed to moving the needle on risk standards for the crypto industry, building products in a compliant way, and protecting the company from financial, regulatory and reputational risks. Our team consists of seasoned risk professionals who are based across our global offices.

About the Opportunity:

The Risk Rules Governance Manager in the Risk Team is expected to have a track-record in writing complex fraud risk rules as well as strong partnership, collaboration and creative problem solving skills to achieve value-adding outcomes. Strong understanding of effective risk management practices as well as thought leadership on meeting regulatory requirements will also be expected of this candidate

The successful candidate will have a mixture of business acumen and release management experience. The manager will lead major Risk projects through delivery while capturing the projects full impact and value. He/she will continuously improve risk rules process, monitor and adjust schedules, keeping in mind risk and business needs

What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Establishing Risk rules governance life cycle management with all the key stakeholders
  • Build and document the SOP specific to the Risk rules governance plan, and work to deploy internally
  • Plan and schedule releases and build release pipelines and roadmaps
  • Ensure the right things are done during the release process e.g. testing
  • Define the roles and responsibilities within the release process
  • Automating the release processes
  • Reporting on release performance
  • Reporting on risk rules release plan, providing regular updates to senior management. Drive a Zero Defect culture by managing implementation of controls and minimize losses
  • Develops and/or influences new ideas/approaches. Establishes procedures, plans and practices which promote the adoption of appropriate solutions and sustainability of desired results in complex operational environments. Develops strategies to enhance decision making
  • Ensures that effective controls are developed and maintained for risk. Takes corrective action, as appropriate. Strong commitment towards goals and outcomes and to ensure completion within established time frames. Focus on results and measuring attainment of outcomes
  • Partners with Risk rules team to create, analyse, modify and test rules
  • Coordinate Quality Assurance plan, baselining metrics, setting and monitoring goals

What We Look For In You:

  • Bachelor of Computer Science or Engineering
  • 2-3 years' experience of software/ rule release or project management experience
  • Analytical and critical thinking skills; agile problem-solving abilities
  • Formal training of project management with certificate
  • Proficient in one of the scripting languages, Perl, Unix Shell Scripting etc.
  • 5+ years of experience working in a technical and/or operations environment, driving improvements that have resulted in measurable business impact
  • Proven analytical aptitude, including the ability to mine and analyze large, complex data sets
  • Six sigma green belt level capabilities in deconstructing processes and metrics, to identify areas of opportunity and lead the development and implementation of new processes
  • Excellent oral, written and interpersonal communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to work well in a team environment and work under tight deadlines
  • Strong influencing skills and negotiation skills
