About the position

Keyfactor is looking to expand the IoT and Industrial IoT business footprint by hiring an experienced Senior Business Development Manager. This individual is a key contributor to developing the IoT vertical and business strategy at Keyfactor. This role requires strong relationship building between external and internal partners to develop strategic alliances required to grow the Keyfactor market share.

The Senior Business Development Manager must have previous experience in the IoT market and a clear understanding of typical IoT markets. Experience In developing strategic partnerships with leading IoT cloud platform providers is a plus. Awareness of IoT product security and digital identity needs is a plus, as well as understanding specific product use cases driven by changing industry standards and corporations shift to cloud and digital transformation.

The position is based in Cleveland, Atlanta, or San Mateo office and can be performed remotely when necessary. Applicants must hold US citizenship or US permanent resident status.


  • Identify and develop global strategic alliances essential for Keyfactor’s growth as a provider of IoT identity management solutions, aligned to Keyfactor IoT go to market strategy
  • Partner with the Keyfactor Cloud and Marketplace organization to continue to develop the Keyfactor offering along with leading IoT cloud platform providers, such as Microsoft Azure IoT
  • Grow existing IoT strategic alliances to accelerate Keyfactor’s pipeline and revenue impact
  • Aligned with Keyfactor sales directors, participating in customer conversations around IoT solution offerings leveraging Keyfactor solutions
  • Support global sales team with context and enablement around IoT talk tracks relevant to specific Industry verticals
  • Collaborate with marketing team to improve comprehensive messaging around how Keyfactor fits within the overall IoT security solution space

Skills and Qualifications

  • Eight+ experience in a IoT product or business development position related to embedded devices, with a background in the Automotive/Transportation, Healthcare/Medical, or Industrial Control industries are a plus
  • Three+ years experience developing corporate partnership agreements with strategic vendors in the IoT or cloud space
  • Excellent customer facing presence
  • Strong interpersonal communication skills
  • Effective time management, project management and prioritization skills
  • Clear thinker, capable of making ambiguous ideas more concrete


Salary will be commensurate with experience.
