Web3 Senior Engineering Manager, Analytics

The Senior Engineering Manager, Analytics, will build and lead a team of engineers who are responsible for cross-company analytics and data infrastructure, including our data warehouse and data lakes. They’ll be able to understand the nuance of different areas of the business and coach their team to build a system that has a sensible balance between data access and security, empowering analysts to support critical data-driven decisions across the company.

In one year you’ll know you were successful if you and have:

• Built, led and empowered a team of exceptional analytics and data engineers.

• Establish analytics processes, tools and systems that will allow us to make better decisions in a scalable way.
• Together with the team, evaluated our current analytics stack and are working towards a system that’s modern, scalable, maintainable and cost-effective.
• Built a close relationship with our Product and Business Analytics teams.
• Understood data access requirements and developed models to allow colleagues access to the right level of information they need to do their jobs.
• Thought beyond the Data Warehouse to enable the right access to data for our Data Scientists and ML Engineers.

A background like this helps:

• Hands on experience in software or data engineering.
• Experience with a modern analytics stack, using solutions such as Snowflake or Redshift and Looker or Tableau. Have different ideas? Feel free to share them in your application.
• Experience hiring and leading a diverse team of impactful engineers, ideally in a fast growing startup.
• Collaborative and a servant leader.
• Aren’t afraid to jump into a problem and get it sorted, even if it’s outside of your day to day role.
• Have an interest in cryptocurrencies or a desire to learn - we can help!
