Web3 Senior Finance Manager

Kava Labs is seeking a Senior Finance Manager for the Kava lending platform, Kava's blockchain solution enabling decentralized stable coins, bonds, and lending for crypto users. You will be a trusted team member providing financial insight to Kava’s Leadership with strategy, research, analysis, and special strategic projects as they arise. You will work alongside a team of world class crypto experts on an open-source project that transfers millions of dollars in assets daily, providing the financial primitives for the next evolution in crypto.

This is a full time remote position based in the US. We are looking for your experience and perspective to contribute to our growing company culture! We are a 100% distributed workforce with teams in the US, Canada, Asia-Pacific, and Europe.

What You Will Do.

• Responsible for day-to-day financial operations (payroll, accounting, audit etc), ensure accurate and timely reporting of financial results.
• Ensures compliance with GAAP, IFRS, Tax and other regulatory agencies.
• Ability to track and own the revenue cycle (Crypto sales, Staking, & Claiming).
• Prepare account reconciliation and workflow to be audit ready.
• Create and maintain accounting policies and procedures.
• Leads Treasury functions; including crypto management functions, intercompany cash movement, and vendor payments.
• Develop and implement processes, systems and frameworks that will safeguard assets and enable scaling of operations.
• You will work broadly across operations to help implement order and process for accounting and finance.
• Report to Sr VP of Finance.

How You Will Succeed.

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
• CPA with audit experience required.
• 6+ years of Accounting and Finance experience.
• Knowledge of the current crypto and/or blockchain landscape (preferred but not required).
• Fintech startup, technology and SaaS industries are highly preferred.
• Previous experience with multinational or multi currency business structures.
• Experience with ASC 606 implementations or applied ASC 606 standards are a plus.
• Highly proficient in Excel, Google sheets & financial modeling, GSuite and Slack.
• Able to work Pacific Standard Time zone.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
