• Please note that this position is open for candidates based in Malaysia and Singapore. The basic salary for this position is RM18,277 per month for those based in Malaysia and SGD12,614 per month for those based in Singapore.

What you'll be doing:

• Lead the development of the Coingecko Enterprise API to support users ranging from on-chain protocols, financial institutions, hobbyists, as well as academic and other professional customers.
• Work with Sales and Product teams to review and prioritize development based on user feedback and market trends
• Research new technology to improve the CoinGecko software to meet new requirements in terms of scale and user experience.
• Guide a team of software developers to meet sprint goals and resolve issues as and when they occur.

What we look for in you:

• You have at least 5 years of experience in software engineering or building applications that scale across millions of users daily with high SLA targets
• You have working experience in integrating payment systems like Stripe and building applications with complex payment lifecycles.
• You write high quality code and are able to maintain good software development standards and practices
• You proactively mentor other software engineers in technical subjects and are able to provide them with direction to level-up
• You work effectively with product and business teams to ensure technical feasibility and quality of each release cycle
• You are excited by new, unfamiliar challenges and are able to make creative attempts to solve a problem

Nice to haves:

• You adapt well to fast-paced environments like startups and work comfortably with teammates from a variety of backgrounds.
• You can work across the stack as needed especially in Ruby, Rails, Javascript, React / NextJS and PostgreSQL
• You are well-versed in designing and managing workloads in cloud platforms like Amazon Web Services, Google Cloud and Cloudflare
• You are familiar with data-intensive workloads and are able to scale software such as BigQuery, Apache Spark, TimescaleDB to process terabytes of data queries and billions of events ingested daily.
• You are familiar with terms related blockchains, cryptocurrencies and financial tools and show a personal interest in them.
