Web3 Sr. Manager Anti Money Laundering (Hybrid)

Coinsquare is looking for a dynamic, experienced individual to manage the AML/ATF FIU (Financial Intelligence Unit) day to day operations across our cryptocurrency platform.  The role reports directly to the Chief Anti Money Laundering Officer , manages a medium size team and leads the Coinsquare FIU operations. 

Responsibilities:

• Lead the implementation and management of FIU daily operations; 
• Lead a team of skilled and experienced AML/ATF investigators;
• Manage resources on a daily basis to ensuring regulatory expectations are met for timeliness of filing LVCTR, STR’s, PEP’s and Terrorist Property reports;
• Prepare reporting for review by CAMLO/Sr. Management on daily/weekly/monthly activities of AML FIU;
• Manage ongoing training and coaching of AML/ATF investigator;
• Develop quality assurance program to ensure regulatory compliance with PCMLTFR and FINTRAC expectations; Manage internal and external escalations to the FIU and determine appropriate actions required;
• Liaise with internal stakeholders in support of fraud mitigation tactics across the firm;
• Identify opportunities for operational efficiency/processes improvement and develop actions plans to drive outcome based results;
• Oversee KYC approvals and ensure AML/ATF documentation fully meets the requirements for all onboarded clients;
• Conduct transaction monitoring and analysis using Chainalysis reporting;
• Manage relationships with AML/ATF vendors and service providers. Assess new technology service options as required;
• Assist with training on AML compliance topics;
• Support internal and external audit requests.

Skills Required: 7+ years experience in AML/ATF FIU or AML/ATF regulatory function; - Prior experience with a Canadian Cryptocurrency Platform would be an asset: - Prior experience leading a small to medium size AML team within a regulated entity; - Direct experience of conducting cryptocurrency investigations using Chainalysis, or other blockchain investigation tools would be an asset; - Detailed knowledge of the PCMLTFA and associated Regulations and a good understanding of the requirements as they relate to a Money Service Business and Securities dealers. - Knowledge of AML/ATF risk factors related to digital currency money laundering risk. - Skilled at identifying opportunities to implement technological solutions, driving efficiencies in AML/ATF monitoring practices. - Intermediate skills in Google Libre suite of applications - Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate complex topics to non-expert audiences and ability to liaise with and influence stakeholders across the organization Anti-Money Laundering Specialist (CAMS) or ACFCS designation preferred.
