About the Opportunity

The OKX Central Risk function is responsible for overall risk management covering financial risk, enterprise risk, operational risk, fraud risk, quantitative model development, and model validation. We’re deeply committed to the top risk standards of the crypto industry, protecting the company from financial, regulatory and reputational risks. Our team consists of seasoned risk professionals who are based across our global offices. We are seeking a versatile Senior Risk Manager to join our US risk management team. You will be responsible for risk governance (frameworks, policies, etc) and integrated risk management (financial and non-financial risks). Reporting to the US CRO, the ideal candidate brings the discipline of a top-tier Bank or FCM (Futures Commission Merchant) and the adaptability to apply those standards to the digital asset ecosystem.

  What You’ll Be Doing

Work directly with the US CRO to implement and evolve the US Risk Management Framework to ensure compliance with US regulatory standards (e.g., CFTC, NFA, SEC)

Draft, review, and update risk policies, standards, and operating procedures, ensuring they remain fit-for-purpose as the business scales and US regulations evolve

Serve as the secretary for the US Risk Committee; prepare meeting packs, produce and analyze key risk indicators (KRIs), and track remediation actions

Work closely with risk colleagues in financial risk (market, credit, liquidity) to develop risk controls, limits, and monitoring routines

Facilitate the Risk and Control Self-Assessment (RCSA) process across the US business lines to identify, assess, and mitigate key operational risks

Act as the US risk liaison in the new product approval process, identifying new products risks and ensuring products are tailored appropriately for the US market

Actively support various license application processes by drafting necessary submission materials, responding to regulatory inquiries, and demonstrating robust risk controls

Define, track, and report on Key Risk Indicators (KRIs) to provide early warning of changing risk profiles or control weaknesses

Act as the bridge between the US entity and the global Risk function, ensuring local regulatory requirements are met while leveraging global infrastructure and resources efficiently

  What We Look For In You

Bachelor's Degree required, preferably in Economics, Math, Statistics, or Finance; MBA, CFA, and/or FRM/PRM a plus

7 to 10 years of experience in Risk Management at a large Bank, FCM (Futures Commission Merchant), or Broker-Dealer; prior experience in a risk governance role a plus

Strong knowledge of US regulations (CFTC, NFA, SEC) and an understanding of the scrutiny required during the licensing phase

Exceptional written communication skills; ability to draft comprehensive and sound policy documents and procedures that stand up to external scrutiny

Proven track record of success within a large, multinational financial institution

Ability to navigate complex reporting lines and balance local US regulatory mandates with global corporate strategy

The salary range for this position is $171,000 - $214,000

The salary offered depends on a variety of factors, including job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and market location. In addition to the salary, a performance bonus and long-term incentives may be provided as part of the compensation package, as well as a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the position offered.
