We are currently seeking an experienced Technical Director to join and lead our Web3 Product Division. The successful candidate will report directly to the VP Product & Engineering and be relied upon to lead our Web3 Product department, manage product development, guide Web3 development processes, and service the Company’s various business units by providing research and solutions for its cutting-edge business initiatives.

Our tech teams are located in Vancouver, BC and Toronto, ON. This role is open to candidates in either of our tech geographic hubs.

*Responsibilities *

  • Lead, manage, and motivate development resources to deliver an exciting new Web3 product.
  • Deliver on goals in a fast-paced tech environment while maintaining high quality.
  • Review, vet, and oversee Web3 protocols, and product and service vendors.
  • Implement Web3 products in accordance with BBTV’s best practices.
  • Be a Web3 thought leader for BBTV’s development teams.
  • Monitor team development progress and optimize for process efficiency.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of technology standards, industry trends, emerging technologies, and software development best practices.
  • Work with product/project management, QA, UX/UI, Research, Marketing, and internal business stakeholders to manage dependencies and work towards a common goal.
  • Share knowledge and educate the organization’s management, staff, partners, customers, and stakeholders with regard to the company’s technological vision, opportunities, and challenges.
  • Ensure assigned technical duties are resolved in a timely and cost-effective manner.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience leading agile scrum development teams.
  • Deep blockchain and cryptographic knowledge, especially NFT standards, practices, open source technology and languages
  • Experience leading the development of successfully-launched Web3 products.
  • Portfolio demonstrating successful launch of Web3 products.
  • Degree in Computer Science or equivalent.
  • Strong knowledge of agile development methodologies.
  • Strong knowledge of enterprise cybersecurity.
  • Ideally, experience leading remote teams.
