Web3 Technical Writer

Compensation: $72k - $112k estimated

Location: Remote

Role focus:

A strong technical background and ability to understand and explain all parts of Aztec, from cryptography to sequencer selection. This role will aim to give a unified and informed technical voice to all of our outward facing documentation and technical communication, ensuring it is accurate, concise and informative.

You will report to the Head of Developer Relations and be responsible for:

  • Refining documentation drafts from engineering and dev-rel to fit the voice and content defined in the docs communication strategy
  • Working with Dev Rel and Marketing to own the communication policy for technical docs
  • Ensuring the developer learning journey is implemented through all technical content with the Dev Rel team
  • Creating technical blog posts to explain and distill key Aztec concepts for easy learning, e.g Honk, Fernet, Kernel Circuits, UTXO’s
  • Write technical explainers on the protocol and cryptography to enable contribution, both internally and externally

Qualifications:

  • A large desire to learn everything Aztec and help others learn the same
  • Bachelor's degree in related technical field
  • Web3 Native, with at least 1 years solid experience at a web3 / blockchain company
  • Strong knowledge of protocol design, zero-knowledge cryptography
  • Fluent in English

Nice-to-have experience:

  • Located in the UK or can operate in Greenwich Mean Time Zone
  • Passion for the web3 space
  • A strong maths background for cryptography blog posts
  • Familiarity with other private blockchain technologies like ZCash
  • Ability to fluently write, speak, and translate content into other languages
