Web3 Treasury Senior Manager

BlockFi is looking for aTreasury Senior Manager to join our growing team!

About Your Team

As a Senior Manager on the Finance team, you will work on mission-critical treasury and cash management processes, including asset and liability management (ALM), support broader finance initiatives in APAC, and ensure the integrity of local financial information. You will be a generalist and will be required to perform multiple finance functions for the APAC region. You will be core to the growth of our APAC operation as we look to expand our footprint and product suite from our regional hub in Singapore. This newly created role reports to the US-based Director of Treasury and will afford an expansive view of the entire company with stakeholders in financial reporting, FP&A, trading, and local management.

Your Mission

• As BlockFi’s first Finance hire in Asia, you will work with multiple stakeholders across the finance division and primarily focus on BlockFi’s international balance sheet management
• Work closely with the accounting function as a boots-on-the-ground representative in Asia
• Work closely with the Treasury team in the USA to align processes and support the global asset pipeline
• Perform location-specific Product Control responsibilities to ensure local oversight of complex and multi-legged transactions
• Partner with Institutional Trading and Lending, Operations, Credit, Risk, and Product teams to further develop scalable treasury and ALM processes that ensure our liquidity meets the needs of the business
• Forecast and report on key balance sheet metrics including fiat and crypto liquidity, asset utilization and Net Interest Margins
• Review and optimize our system validations, transaction flows, and reconciliations in conjunction with Middle Office Ops and Accounting
• Assist with new operational working groups, playing a strategic role in the implementation of cash and crypto routing in support of new products, assets/currencies, and operational processes
• Manage complex problems on short notice while maintaining competing priorities
• Oversee an increasingly complex portfolio of cryptocurrency holdings, loans, and investments
• Review existing crypto and fiat accounts and assist with administration and access controls for these platforms. Spearhead new account creation.
• Bring wide-ranging finance expertise to a fairly nascent, growing team.

Your Expertise

• 7+ years of relevant finance experience; ideally within a bank or similar financial institution
• Finance generalist who will pitch in to support Treasury, Accounting, Product Control and more
• Bachelor’s Degree or Master’s Degree in Finance, or related quantitative field
• Advanced Excel/Google Sheets skills with experience managing large data sets and presenting analysis to non-finance team members
• Experience in cashflow forecasting
• Ability to communicate complex financial concepts to non-finance team members
• Team player with strong interpersonal skills. Must be willing to pitch in and assist non-finance colleagues on tangential projects as we work towards our shared mission
• Demonstrated ability to see processes beyond the short term and plan for rapid scaling
• Proven ability to independently manage and execute projects to completion
• Intellectual curiosity and desire for personal and professional improvement
• Knowledge of digital assets infrastructure and markets (at a minimum candidates should understand the basics of cryptocurrency settlement and have traded crypto on exchanges in a PA capacity)
