We are looking for a valuation expert to join our growing Policy and Reporting team and lead all efforts related to valuation for the company.
WHAT YOU WILL DO:
- Perform valuation for all accounting and financial reporting requirement including financial instruments, derivatives, embedded derivatives, digital assets and liabilities, acquisitions, and stock-based compensation.
- Study financial and economic data, competitive industry dynamics, and valuation multiples of guideline companies and transactions.
- Identify/address emerging company/industry issues.
- Develop valuation policies and procedures and implement improvements to the internal control environment.
- Participate/lead in process improvement initiatives and special projects.
- Prepare communications to management, auditors, and external parties, as needed.
- Design workflows to be in compliance with GAAP disclosure and management reporting.
- Respond to inquiries from finance/accounting colleagues and external auditors. Communicate internal valuation policies to finance organization and external auditors.
- Work independently and take ownership of internal and external inquiries and provide fast and professional resolution.
WHAT YOU WILL NEED:

- Must be able to work in a fast-paced, diverse work environment with great follow through.
- Bachelors degree in Accounting.
- 5+ years of valuation experience in public accounting or consulting.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, teamwork, organizational, and time management skills.
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook).
- Understanding of complex securities and valuation of financial instruments and derivatives.
- Experience with 409a, tax basis, and equity-based compensation analysis, including equity allocation.
- Experience performing purchase price allocation and goodwill impairment testing.
- Fluent English. Other business functional languages are advantageous.
