BattleFly (www.battlefly.game) is well positioned to create the first sustainable blockchain game at massive scale. We're a global, distributed team of ~25 people, are well funded by a $10m+ treasury, and are looking to bring on the next rockstar to the BattleFly family.
The Role
We need a Front End dev with web3 experience to assist in building out the UI of our gaming interface, dashboards, and NFT minting pages. To be clear - we are looking for someone with existing web3 skills and experience. If you are new to: web3, smart contracts, blockchains - this is not the role for you. You will be working alongside an already strong team and play a key role in bringing Battlefly into the hands of millions of users.
Responsibilities
- Work cross functionally with product owners, designers, and other engineers to create the best possible experiences for players
- Support the Front-End work across multiple projects within Battlefly, including:
- Game UI
- NFT minting experiences
- Dashboards
- Treasuries
- Write and review code to make improvements to the Battlefly front-end.
Requirements
- Comprehensive understanding of interacting with smart contracts. This includes:
- Wallet connections and authentication
- Reading data from blockchain directly and from smart contracts
- Strong understanding of smart contract’s ABI
- Proficiency of web development using JavaScript, React (Next.js)
- Expertise in fundamental Modern React principles; State Management, Component Lifecycle, React hooks, etc etc.
- Strong working knowledge of Typescript.
- Familiarity with GraphQL (Apollo Client) & The Graph Indexing Protocol.
- Familiarity with TailwindCSS
- 3+ years of Front End dev experience
- Write clean, well-designed, and high-quality code in a highly collaborative environment.
- Strong understanding of responsive design principles and experience implementing them
- Experience working on video games is a huge plus but not required
