About Climate

Climate is an international, privately-owned engineering and sustainability firm, providing exceptional client service and innovative solutions across the spectrum of sustainability, climate change, environmental impact, social responsibility, governance (ESG), and comprehensive energy transition — from A to Z. Our engagements span private companies, governments, banks, and global institutions, and we are actively contributing to the strategies steering the world toward a net-zero future.

As part of our long-term corporate strategy, Climate has established a dedicated Crypto Department — a corporate treasury function responsible for the secure custody, management, and hedging of the company's digital asset holdings.

The Role

We are looking for a Senior Crypto Treasury Operations Specialist to own the day-to-day execution of our digital asset treasury operations. You will be the operational backbone of a newly formed, well-capitalized function — working with institutional-grade custodians and leading exchanges, executing and settling transactions, and building the operational workflows that keep corporate digital assets secure, liquid, and accurately accounted for.

This is a hands-on senior individual contributor role reporting directly to the Director of Digital Assets, with a clear path to building and leading an operations team as the function scales.

What You'll Do
  • Execute transactions — initiate, validate, and settle digital asset transfers, conversions, and hedging operations across custodial and exchange accounts, strictly under dual-control and maker-checker approval frameworks
  • Manage institutional custody relationships — administer accounts with qualified custodians (e.g., Fireblocks, Anchorage, Coinbase Custody, BitGo or similar), including wallet structures, policy engines, whitelisting, and key-management governance
  • Operate across venues — work confidently with major centralized exchanges and OTC desks for execution, liquidity management, and best-execution practices
  • Hedging support — implement and monitor hedging strategies in coordination with the Director of Digital Assets (futures, perps, and structured instruments where appropriate)
  • Reconciliation & reporting — perform daily reconciliation across wallets, custodians, and exchanges; produce accurate position, P&L, and exposure reports for finance and leadership
  • Controls & compliance — operate within the company's compliance framework (AML/KYC, travel rule, record-keeping) and help strengthen operational policies, SOPs, and audit trails
  • Incident response — act as first responder on transaction anomalies, stuck transactions, or security events, coordinating with custodians, exchanges, and internal stakeholders

What You'll Bring
  • 5+ years of operational experience with digital assets, ideally in a corporate treasury, fund, exchange, or institutional custody environment
  • Proven track record executing high-value transactions on major exchanges and through institutional custodians, with verifiable references
  • Deep practical knowledge of wallet infrastructure, transaction lifecycle, gas/network mechanics, and operational security (MPC, multisig, whitelisting, address verification)
  • Experience with OTC execution and best-execution practices for size
  • Strong familiarity with US regulatory context for corporate digital asset activity (FinCEN, travel rule, custody frameworks)
  • Meticulous, process-driven mindset; you treat checklists, segregation of duties, and audit trails as non-negotiable
  • Excellent written and verbal communication in English

Nice to Have
  • Experience standing up treasury or ops workflows at a company where digital assets were a new function
  • Familiarity with hedging instruments (futures, options, perps) from an operational standpoint
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., CCSP, CTP, CAMS) or security training

Compensation & Benefits
  • Base salary: $140,000–$180,000 (commensurate with experience), plus annual performance bonus
  • Health, dental, and vision insurance
  • 401(k) with company match
  • Professional development budget and certification support
  • Hybrid work model with a California base
