Responsibilities

• Extend and maintain a scalable, heterogeneous infrastructure system over multiple data centres with switches, firewalls, HSMs, as well as physical servers, virtual devices, and cloud
• Ensure the high availability, latency, performance, capacity, scalability, and deployment of our current infrastructure
• Excellent analytical and problem‐solving skills, with the ability to debug, optimise code, and automate routine tasks
• Expert knowledge of Linux OS capabilities, including troubleshooting experience
• Strong commitment to automation and experience with configuration management tools (e.g.: Terraform, Helm, Ansible, Chef, etc.)
• Extend and maintain existing and new blockchain nodes
• Ensure the secure operation of backends (advanced load and fail balancing with HAProxy, Apache, and Nginx; database servers replication)
• Proactively control and improve existing monitoring, logging, tracing, and alerting infrastructure (Prometheus, Loki, Grafana)
• Maintain services once they are live by measuring and monitoring availability, latency, and overall system health
• Familiar with public cloud deployments (e.g.: AWS, GCP, and/or Azure)
• Design a monitoring platform in our GCP environment to support our global crypto trading environment
• Drive integration of secure technologies and applications
• Patch management; continually deploy new firmware and software
• Maintain and create technical documentation of infrastructure as code/data, while also having knowledge of version control using tools
• Technically up to date on latest technologies and cloud native environments

• Degree in computer science or 3-5 years of experience in systems engineering
• Great interest in infrastructure, automation, security and cloud
• Enthusiasm for Linux/OpenBSD/Container technologies, such as Kubernetes and/or open source software in general
• Willingness to learn, but also have some experience with the most common open-source ecosystems
• Some experience in systems engineering and defensive security (DDoS protection, intrusion prevention)
• You understand the importance of building and designing HA platforms, and have a keen interest in monitoring and metrics
• A team player who has great collaboration and communication skills
• Knowledge in blockchain technologies and crypto assets is also a plus
