Drift is a leading derivatives exchange on Solana. Our mission is to bring state-of-the-art trader-centric experience from centralized exchanges on-chain. Within 39 days of trading, Drift transacted our first $1 billion of volume on the platform. We're a team of experienced traders and builders from DeFi and traditional finance working together to make this a reality.

Drift is looking for a Product Designer to be a core member of our product team and spearhead the development and optimisations of our user interface.

We’re looking for a product designer to own the trading experience on Drift.

Product Designer Role and Responsibilities:

  • Own end-to-end user journey and all aspects of Drift’s trading systems from user feedback, ideation, to prototyping, to user testing, to final production
  • Work directly to implement designs with the frontend engineering team, ideally taking part in the implementation process
  • Own the UI and UX of Drift, working with leadership team and external design partners to push product vision through
  • Create HiFi UI prototypes of new features based on external needs or internal plans straight to implementation

Requirements:

  • Ability to iterate through design concepts to get to implementation fast
  • Demonstrated experience in designing DeFi, trading or financial related products
  • Strong willingness to learn and understand the core mechanics of the Drift platform
  • Strong understanding of (and ideally some working experience with) front-end web technologies including HTML, CSS, JS/TS, and React
  • Proficiency in Figma
  • A strong eye for aesthetics, layout, information architecture, typography, and iconography

Nice to Have:

  • Understanding of perpetual futures, options, margin trading and derivatives products.
