About This Role - Client Onboarding KYC Refresh Lead, AVP
We are currently seeking a highly organized, forward thinking, and enthusiastic Client Onboarding Project Lead who will work closely with all members of the organization in New York and globally as we expand. The candidate will be instrumental in helping to roll out strategic initiatives and project implementation pertaining to client onboarding across the Genesis entities.
Responsibilities
- Own, manage and implement a KYC refresh process for the entire Genesis client base and work closely with Sales, Product, and support teams to ensure a smooth process for the client
- Create a process around updating client risk ratings to adhere to new Client Risk Rating (CRR) Methodology
- Work closely with the tech team to implement automation for the KYC refresh process
- Assist with secondary reviews/approvals of client applications
- Work closely with senior members of the team to operationalize and implement new policies and procedures related to KYC/onboarding
- Support resolution of all KYC/AML related issues by liaising with relevant stakeholders
- Support senior team members with the creation of KYC/onboarding metrics, coordinating data from relevant stakeholders and collating MIS for regulatory and internal reporting
- Continuously identify and suggest process improvements. Partner with sales, compliance, and product teams to improve the workflows and drive positive change
- Lead efforts for data clean-up pertaining to client onboarding information
- Stay current with regulatory changes and requirements around AML and KYC obligations
Requirements
- 5-10 years of KYC and Onboarding experience within a financial services or digital assets/crypto currency space
- Excellent project management, organizational, and time management skills
- Results-focused, detail oriented, and capable of building and managing a large scale, multi-stage process in a fast paced, client centric and dynamic operating environment
- Bachelor’s degree (CAMS Certification is a plus)
- Experience using compliance applications and investigative tools such as CLEAR, World Check, or LexisNexis, etc.
- Familiar with AML regulations related to client due diligence on high-net-worth individuals and institutional clients.
