About this Role

How will millions of internet users learn about NFTs and the new decentralized web? As Staff Technical Writer at Metaplex Studios, you’ll be introducing makers, creators, developers, businesses and artists to the Metaplex Protocol through well-designed and easy-to-understand content. You’ll be one part writer/editor and one part content lead, managing a team of handpicked consultants from TechCrunch and other notable tech publications.

To get the job done, you’ll partner with Marketing, Community, Social, Product, Businesses, and other teams at Metaplex Studios. You’ll be the team expert on topics like SEO, communications, writing, and editing. Your contributions to our blog, learning center, and social content will help people everywhere understand how they can leverage NFTs to invent the future of media, gaming, art, and beyond.

What You'll Do

• You'll be Metaplex's first Content Manager and writer to the team (no pressure 🙃)
• Partner with Marketing, Community, Social, and Design teams to create a content strategy that establishes Metaplex as the de facto source for NFTs and related technologies.
• Study trends and emerging technologies and breakdown complex topics into language that even our non-technical readers can understand.
• Analyzing industry trends and figuring out best strategies in positioning Metaplex Studios as the industry leader
• Content that you’ll create will help our community achieve their dream projects and shape the NFT industry at large.
• Manage a team of writers/editors to execute your content strategy.
• Come up with creative ideas for content including materials for industry studies, campaigns, and collaborations with ecosystem partners and brands.
• You enjoy going the extra mile to break down complex topics and are comfortable creating tutorials and video walkthroughs when the situation calls for it.

• Track record of writing content for top media publications and an extensive portfolio of your work.
• You’re comfortable breaking down technical topics for readers everywhere and are passionate about NFTs, crypto, blockchains etc.
• Strong storytelling, messaging, and writing skills, with a demonstrated ability to translate technical features into compelling customer-centric narratives.
• Experience leading skilled teams of writers. You bring an extensive rolodex of connections that you can tap into to get your job done at Metaplex Studios.
• Strong project management and communication skills to help coordinate teams.
• You’re always learning the latest trends about NFTs, crypto, blockchains, etc. in order to provide Metaplex readers with the most up to date information.
• Background in growing community and blog traffic through SEO, analytics, content partnerships, and growth strategies. You know how to leverage SEO experts to fill in the gaps.
• You enjoy working in a high growth startup environment and know how to meet deadlines and loop in others for feedback.
• You’re skilled at writing content to drive conversion and deliver marketing messaging.
• You welcome feedback and love to learn. You get energy from working closely with a team.
