We are seeking an experienced, London-based senior compliance officer to lead our global compliance program. Your primary responsibilities will include the management and ongoing development of a comprehensive compliance program in the dynamic and rapidly evolving digital asset industry, managing interactions with regulatory agencies globally, and identifying and mitigating potential conflicts of interest across our diverse business activities.As a key partner to senior management, you will play a crucial role in ensuring our business operations comply with applicable laws, regulations, and industry standards.This role will be based in London, United Kingdom, with periodic travel to our offices in Zug, Switzerland and NYC. This is a unique opportunity to join an experienced team, in an impactful role, building a world-class, institutional digital asset manager.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, maintain, and enhance the company’s compliance program to ensure the firm's supervision and controls meet regulatory requirements and industry best practices
  • Regularly, and proactively, assess and report on the effectiveness of internal controls, policies, and procedures, and recommend improvements
  • Manage a robust conflicts of interest framework to identify, communicate, and mitigate potential conflicts within the organization
  • Maintain a thorough understanding of securities laws and regulations that pertain to the company’s diverse range of digital asset-focused products and capabilities; synthesize key findings and recommendations to key internal stakeholders
  • Hire and develop global compliance team with requisite domain expertise aligned with our organizational and geographic focus
  • Serve as primary counterpart to regulatory agencies globally (e.g., FCA, SEC)
  • Foster and maintain a culture of compliance, including ownership and development of our internal compliance training program to educate employees on regulatory requirements, policies, and procedures
  • Evaluate, recommend and deploy new technologies to drive efficiencies and automation in the compliance program across the organization
  • Oversee regulatory registrations and ongoing filing requirements
  • Represent the company in due diligence meetings with existing and prospective investors

Skill Set and Qualifications:

  • 8+ years in Compliance role, including significant experience working at a hedge fund or traditional investment manager regulated in the UK by the FCA
  • Bachelor’s degree; Law degree a plus but not required
  • Demonstrated commitment to upholding the highest ethical standards
  • Expert in assessing and navigating complex regulatory requirements and translating into practical, business-enabling solutions
  • Experience with digital assets and blockchain preferred; passion for, and ability to successfully navigate, the rapidly evolving digital asset ecosystem is a must
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to communicate with stakeholders efficiently and effectively at all levels across the organization
  • Strong problem-solving and organizational skills
  • Self-starter, roll up your sleeve’s mentality
  • Ability to work both independently and in a collaborative team environment
  • Detail oriented, process-obsessed
