About the Role:

We are seeking a Senior Backend Engineer with substantial experience and a high level of expertise. This role requires a dynamic individual who can design, develop, and implement scalable, robust, and secure backend services. You will work closely with our multidisciplinary team to enhance the Wawe platform and lead the design and implementation of essential features.

• Spearhead the design, development, and optimization of highly scalable and secure backend services.
• Maintain high coding standards by writing clean, efficient, and maintainable code.
• Collaborate effectively with front-end developers, product owners, and designers to implement and enhance features.
• Participate in code reviews to ensure a high-quality codebase.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues across all deployment environments swiftly and accurately.
• Develop trading interfaces (trading terminals) and APIs, employing innovative approaches to solve complex technical problems.
• Leverage advanced technical principles, theories, and concepts to develop cutting-edge products.

Requirements:

• A minimum of 3 years experience with Node.js/Nestjs or Python/Django or Go.
• Strong skills with PostgreSQL database.
• Proven experience in developing REST API services and supporting micro-services and APIs.
• Familiarity with AWS services and Bitbucket, including setting up CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience in performance testing and tuning distributed applications.
• Proficiency in conducting unit tests, integration tests, and load tests.
• Demonstrated ability to write reusable, testable, and efficient code.
• Proficiency in spoken and written English.
• A growth-driven, curious mindset and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with search engines, such as ElasticSearch.
• Experience with Clickhouse DB.
• Experience in trading on stock exchanges or cryptocurrency markets will be a strong advantage.
