Work Location: Fully Remote (within the U.S.)

Expected Starting Pay Range:  $110,000 - $120,000 per year depending on experience, plus discretionary bonus

The Accounting Services Manager (what we call an Onboarding Manager) position is a key contributor and first point of contact for newly signed accounting services clients as we welcome them to the firm.  We’re looking for someone with technical accounting skills and business acumen to provide startups and their founders with reliable, actionable financial information and strategic advice. This role is responsible for ensuring that accounting tasks and financial statements for new clients are completed accurately and on time, while providing exceptional client service.  In time, this role will also be responsible for managing a small remote team of Staff Accountants and fostering professional development as a coach and positive role model for the team.  The Accounting Services Manager has significant contact with clients, typically founders and executives at venture-funded startup companies.

•Responsible for onboarding and managing accounting transitions for up to 10 new Kruze Consulting clients per month who will be moving their accounting function to Kruze before the assignment to the Monthly Recurring Accounting Services Team. This involves managing systems implementation, process improvements, and cleaning/standardizing up accounting procedures based on U.S. GAAP accounting standards. (75% of the time)

•Ensure clients transition smoothly to their Account Manager/Accounting Services Team. (15% of the time)

•Assign tasks to the State and Local Tax team to execute on necessary filings. (5% of the time)

•Internal meetings, training, and other administrative activities. (5% of the time)

•Sales/business development.  This role jumps in after the contract has been signed.  

•Kruze’s own corporate accounting/finance.  That’s handled by our CFO/Corporate Finance Department.

•Bachelor’s Degree required in related field (Accounting, Finance, etc.)

•5+ years of full-time experience in full close-cycle accounting

•Strong written, verbal, and presentation skills to effectively and professionally communicate with clients

•Able to convert new client financials to industry best practices and accrual standards

•Progress towards or attainment of a CPA® license

•Public accounting/Big 4/consulting experience in a multi-client environment

•Audit and technical accounting experience

•Experience working with venture capital-backed privately held companies

•Experience with software, SaaS, tech-enabled services, or other recurring revenue business models

•Experience managing a fully remote/distributed team
