Kronos Research is hiring a Web3 Alpha Researcher

Job Description
The individual in this role will be a part of a new Alpha Research team which is focused on generating quantitative predictive signals across a variety of markets and asset classes (spot, futures, options; traditional markets and cryptocurrencies). The ideal candidate has experience in the quantitative signal generation process for high-frequency trading from idea validation to production implementation. This opportunity will provide the right candidate an opportunity to have a large impact on the direction and productivity of a newly formed effort within a successful proprietary trading firm.
As an Alpha Researcher at Kronos Research, you play a key role in our business. Your research can be deployed quickly across many trading strategies and exchanges.
Responsibilities
- Develop predictive features that are inputs into our trading strategies
- Contribute to all aspects of the quantitative research process, including data validation and cleaning, feature generation, and backtesting
- Prototype and implement signals in our C++ infrastructure
- Conduct post-trade analysis to measure and improve the performance of your signals
- Work closely with traders to interpret how signals are used
- Evaluate financial data vendors; evaluate and work with new data sources and analytics packages in developing investment strategies
- Provide guidance for how trading strategies should be expanded and improved
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, or related field
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in HFT (High Frequency Trading)
- Experience in or ability to quickly learn C++
- Prior experience in a quantitative role within a trading environment
- Able to demonstrate creativity and communication abilities -- we take pride in a research-based environment
Preferred Qualifications
- Ph.D. in Statistics or equivalent experience
- Outstanding academic marks and a demonstrated history of excellence
- Familiarity with C++ programming
- Previous crypto trading experience
