Web3 AML Transaction Monitoring Team Leader

You will play a key role in helping us build a new team which has been created to facilitate the next stage of our growth which sits within an existing Financial Crime team. Acting as the first line of defense, the transaction monitoring will be both on the Blockchain and Fiat worlds, where you will be responsible for building and leading a team who will be processing/clearing alerts and where appropriate escalating suspicious activity in order for SARs to be filed as well as still being very much hands on.

What you’ll do as a Team Leader 👀

• Work closely with the Head of Financial Crime and Compliance Director building the operational framework for your new team
• Take on the responsibility of recruiting team members and the continuous developing and training of the team
• Oversee the service level agreements and ensuring the team is meeting the standards set for the key performance indicators
• Provide accurate monthly date reporting packs
• Liaise closely with regional MLROs to provide feedback of rule effectiveness and provide other intelligence for ingestion back into the AML/CFT programme
• Ensure that procedures and process maps are up to date

You should apply if ✅

• AML Experience in either FinTech or Investment Banking industry
• Minimum of 2 years of Supervisory / Team Leader experience
• Experience with Crypto & Fiat transaction monitoring
• Regulatory understanding of working in an outsourced function
• ACAMS / ACFCS or ICA accreditation
• Wallet screening experience (Elliptic, Chainalysis, TRM, Scorechain, CipherTrace)
• Fluency in both written and spoken English
• Ability to build rules, based on typologies and customer behavior
• Solution orientated
• Ability to demonstrate a practical approach to AML
• Interest in Crypto
• Ability to blend fiat and crypto rule monitoring
• Able to demonstrate alignment to MoonPay values
• Comfort and belief to challenge the status quo
• Ability to make decisions and recommendations
• Flexible & open minded approach
