Web3 Back End Developer

We are currently collaborating with a well-established and reputable Fintech firm that is seeking to expand its team by adding a Back End Engineer. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing robust and scalable solutions for the company's platform.

Responsibilities:

• Design and implement a private, permissioned distributed ledger using DAML, Canton, and other open-source blockchain frameworks.
• Develop and maintain a RESTful API utilizing Python and FastAPI to support system functionality.
• Provide technical leadership by motivating, guiding, and mentoring team members, focusing on supporting junior engineers' growth.
• Actively engage in daily stand-up meetings to ensure alignment and progress within the team.
• Participate in peer code reviews as part of the standard Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and change management processes.
• Stay current with the latest advancements in blockchain technology and integrate relevant innovations into the ecosystem.

Qualifications:

• 5+ years of software engineering experience building enterprise SaaS cloud-based solutions
• 2+ years of technical leadership and management experience
• Experience with DAML, Solidity, or other blockchain programming languages
• Experience with Python and FastAPI
• Demonstrated understanding of relational database concepts and modeling practices
• Experience building APIs for large-scale applications using AWS
• Experience with tokenization and blockchain-based investments
• Familiarity with security best practices and encryption techniques
• Basic knowledge of finance and business (e.g., capital markets, alternative investments)
• Excellent writing, communication, and presentation skills
• Exceptional ability to understand client needs, scope projects, develop detail-oriented execution plans, and communicate results
• An entrepreneurial hunger to own problems from start to finish, manage projects, overcome operational bottlenecks, and execute effectively
