Autograph is hiring a Web3 Business Affairs
Compensation: $49k - $75k estimated
Location: Los Angeles, California, United States
The Role:
The Business Affairs position will be integral to Autograph’s deals with its talent, artists and content partners and will work closely with Autograph’s legal, partnerships, product and technology teams to implement the business strategy around NFT drops.
Responsibilities:
- Drafting and negotiating term sheets with potential talent, artist and content partners.
- Interface with the representatives, agents, manager and attorneys of Autograph’s partners
- Establish Autograph’s business parameters and creatively determine opportunities for Autograph to find opportunities to maximize value.
- Work closely with Autograph’s creative and marketing teams to finalize production and marketing budgets specific to NFT drops.
- Business affairs and legal advice to business colleagues.
Minimum Qualifications:
- 3-6+ years experience working at a law firm or in-house in an IP-intensive environment
- JD required; California bar or Registered In-House Counsel
- Strong background in talent, production and distribution; business affairs negotiations
- Elite organizational and information management skills
- Process-oriented
- Knowledgeable but eager to learn
- Willing to do the work that needs to get done
- Collaborative but able to work independently in high-volume, fast-paced environment
- Good judgment to escalate issues when required
Preferred Qualifications:
- Entertainment or tech industry experience
- Understanding of the chain of title, rights clearance and/or negotiations for on-screen talent strongly preferred
- Knowledge of NFT space and experience with NFT community
- Knowledge of blockchain and cryptocurrencies
