SUMMARY

The Business Development team is the arm of the firm that is responsible for finding the next great bitcoin mining site. Utilizing relationships, leads, and unique data sets, the Business Development Manager identifies high potential areas for development of a bitcoin mining data center. You will negotiate Power Purchase Agreements and land purchases/leases and look for unique opportunities to unlock value thanks to the unique attributes of bitcoin mining. You are driven and entrepreneurial, and able to work closely with other functions to prioritize sites and oversee transactions from sourcing to negotiation, to execution, and ultimately to build-out.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

1. Research and identify potential locations for new bitcoin mining sites, taking into account factors such as land availability, electricity costs, and local regulations.

1. Negotiate land acquisition and electricity contracts for new mining sites.

1. Collaborate with internal teams, including engineering, operations, and finance, to evaluate the feasibility of new mining sites.

1. Develop and maintain relationships with local government officials, utility companies, and other stakeholders to facilitate the development of new mining sites.

1. Monitor industry trends and developments to identify new opportunities for growth and expansion.

1. Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and standards, including environmental and safety regulations.

1. Prepare reports and presentations to communicate progress and results to internal and external stakeholders.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

• A passion for Bitcoin and a strong understanding of how Bitcoin and mining work, or the desire to learn.
• Experience in site selection, land acquisition, and contract negotiation.
• Experience navigating Power Purchase Agreements
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to evaluate complex data and make informed decisions.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong focus on achieving results.
