About the Role

Near Inc (the “Company”) developed much of the NEAR Protocol, a community-run, developer-friendly 3rd-generation blockchain platform fundamental to the Web3 stack. The Company is now focusing on powering Web3 developer adoption, and its Business Operations team (“BizOps”) is looking for an associate to help give builders the fastest path to market in Web3.

Near Inc BizOps helps achieve enterprise-wide goals by ensuring tactical alignment between daily operations across all key functional areas of the organization and top-level strategic priorities. Functionally, BizOps owns critical workstreams, including finance and accounting operations, corporate governance operations, and vendor procurement and management operations. It also drives strategic initiatives deemed necessary to the growth or success of the Company as defined by C-level executives.

BizOps team members are required to think strategically, structurally, tactically, and innovatively when advising, designing, developing, and delivering its core services cross-functionally.

What You'll Be Doing:

• Own, drive, and complete various initiatives from start to finish
• Structure ambiguous problems and effectively communicate impact and solutions
• Create relationships between various internal and external stakeholders
• Design, build, and improve processes and operations systems
• Work with cross-functional teams to drive improvements to policies and processes across teams

What We're Looking For:

• 5+ years of demonstrated excellence in startup environments in high level operational roles
• Demonstrated experience in contract negotiations and financial operations
• Interest in the blockchain/crypto space
• Stellar attention to detail and process orientation
• Ability to balance daily context-switches
• A fanatical attention to process and detail mixed with strategic judgment
• Exceptional ability to adapt to change
• A heaping dose of the grit it takes to battle the endless challenge of operating in this environment

This role is not a cold start -- you will be expected to have context and judgment in business operations. This means you should have previously started a company, operated within venture-funded startups, or (maybe) turned a prior career in a relevant field into a fresh start via a top tier MBA.
