Proof of Work

The Team

Our API support team handles inquiries from clients using our API to implement various projects, from mobile apps, to high frequency trading bots, to other exchanges sourcing our liquidity.

This is a fully remote role requiring English fluency. You must be willing to work evenings and weekends.

As a Client Engagement API specialist you will be the first point of contact when our clients need assistance with our REST, WebSocket, and FIX APIs. You will work closely with our entire range of clients and with other client engagement support teams to solve clients’ technical API issues, while providing the excellent customer service our clients expect from Kraken.

The Opportunity

  • Answer clients’ API questions via text and live support channels (Zendesk, Email, Telegram, Zoom)

  • Diagnose and resolve clients’ API related issues

  • Assist clients in implementing their API code (provide integration advice, debug client code)

  • Develop and maintain our official API libraries/wrappers in multiple programming languages

  • Maintain internal and client facing API documentation and training resources

  • Provide testing and feedback for new API features before they are released to clients

  • Assist in the management of our API support team (QA for other specialists, etc.)

Skills you should HODL

  • Knowledge and experience of at least one programming language (Python, JavaScript, C/C++/C#, Rust, for example)

  • Basic understanding of REST or WebSocket API functionality

  • Experience interpreting multiple data formats (JSON, CSV, etc.)

  • Ability to write technical documentation in a human friendly format

Nice to Haves

  • Experience writing code for REST, WebSocket, or FIX APIs (not necessarily crypto)

  • Experience with Google Sheets and Google Script

  • Experience with third party API tools (Postman, for example)

  • UNIX command line knowledge (bash, sed, awk, grep, etc.)

  • Another language (in addition to English)
