Compensation: $43k - $75k estimated

What you’ll be working on

Our client's Managed Web Platform team is responsible for architecting and building foundational technologies to help deliver digital products to their clients. As we build this next-generation platform, the quality of the user experience will be paramount to its success. The Managed Web Platform team is product-driven and developer-focused with a common goal to simplify web application deployment lifecycles.

As a member of the Managed Web Platform team, you will be responsible for building a cloud-native platform for web hosting that makes it easy to deliver features faster in a frictionless workflow. The platform aims to simplify web assets deployment, handling authentication, redirects, automated SSL certificate upgrades, and traffic routing to downstream APIs. This platform will give Goldman Sachs developers access to easy-to-use web hosting without having to think about servers or DevOps.

Key Deliverables

  • Design, develop and manage services in the public cloud
  • Architect safe, resilient and highly available distributed services
  • Writetechnicaldependencies and drive design meetings with various stakeholders for consensus
  • Collaborate with other platform engineering teams and see if they can leverage their solution to provide specialized functionality in their platform

Experience

  • 5+ years of relevant work experience

  • 2+ years of experience with public cloud providers like Amazon Web Services

  • Proficiency in designing, developing, Java, JavaScript or Python; open to using and learning multiple languages

  • Expertise with container platforms like Docker, ECS, EKS and automation with scripting languages

  • Strong knowledge of SDLC build tools like GitLab and shift-left DevOps methodologies

  • Superior interpersonal, communication and organization skills

  • Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced, collaborative environment

  • Self-motivated and self-managed with a high degree of analytical ability, innovation and intellectual curiosity
