Web3 Communications Associate

Compensation: $50k - $80k estimated

Reporting to OpenSea’s Head of Communications, you will work closely with Communications, Marketing, and People Leads to build and execute OpenSea’s first employee communications program, and shape the employee brand for the fastest growing consumer tech company in history. Responsibilities - Help develop and maintain team documentation, including: editorial calendars, planning docs, coverage reports, meeting agendas, recommendation memos. - Help create OpenSea’s first media kit, including organizing and project managing initiatives to complete it (i.e. headshots). - Develop executive prep docs and internal memos in partnership with managers and senior leaders. - Develop industry analysis and research, to help get the team smart on industry-impacting issues. - Develop media lists, pitch notes and other media materials for outreach. - Help onboard team vendors for measurement and reporting, and manage regular coverage analyses to help give leads a read into current press cycles and sentiment. - Maintain and/or project manage team documentation, including: our editorial calendar, coverage tracker, team calendars. - Refining their media relations skills, building a bank of consistent relationships with key press contacts, and  actively pitching media based on portfolio objectives. - Strong writer, crafting effective written communications across a variety of formats including internal emails, pitch notes, prep docs, blog posts and corporate announcements. They should strive to require one round of feedback on writing materials. - Excellent problem solver, who contributes to strategic decisions for individual campaigns and tactics within their portfolio area and brings fresh thinking and problem-solving. - Proactively flag ideas -- story ideas, campaign ideas and opportunities for process improvement. - Develop strong project management skills in partnership with managers. Begin building frameworks for independent project management at the next level.

Desired Experience - Direct Communications or journalism experience, preferably in either an agency or in-house environment. - Passion and excitement for the world of web3, and a desire to learn and become and expert on NFTs specifically. - Excellent writing, communication, organizational, editing and project management skills.
