THE ROLE
The Compliance Department is responsible for Localcoin’s compliance with applicable regulatory requirements in Canada. The Compliance Department helps the business fulfill their regulatory compliance responsibilities and achieve their business goals. Together with the business, the Compliance Department works to reduce and manage regulatory risks, to protect Localcoin’s reputation, and to help Localcoin succeed in its mission.
Localcoin is looking for a Compliance Administrative Coordinator to join us to support the Compliance team in data entry and administrative tasks. This position is starting as a 1 month contract with the possibility of extension.
YOUR IMPACT
- Perform data entry and administrative tasks to support our Compliance team - largely the accurate and timely processing of regulatory reports to FINTRAC (Canada’s anti-money laundering regulator)
- Support the Compliance Team in document collection/gathering with respect to transaction monitoring, alerted cases of suspected fraud, fake identities, suspicious transactions and watchlist/PEP screening results (where applicable)
- Introduction to alert triaging process for case escalation to Compliance Analysts or CCO
- Accurately log and track completed case filing information to enable accurate reporting

- Ability to efficiently and accurately meet daily reporting priorities
- Clear and effective verbal and written communication skills
- Interest in the fin-tech industry or Compliance field
