THE ROLE Hybrid – Etobicoke, ON | Minimum 2 days in-office Salary Range: $60,000 - $85,000 This role is ideal for a highly skilled accounting professional who enjoys ownership, complexity, and impact in a fast-growing, multi-entity fintech environment. As a Senior Corporate Accountant, you will play a key role in overseeing full-cycle accounting across multiple legal entities and currencies, ensuring the integrity of financial reporting and strong internal controls. You will act as a subject-matter expert within the Finance team, support audits and compliance initiatives, and contribute to process improvements as the organization continues to scale. This is a hands-on role with increased responsibility, visibility, and collaboration with Finance leadership. WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING 

Perform full-cycle accounting duties for a group of companies, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and timeliness Review and approve journal entries supported by detailed account reconciliations and appropriate backup documentation Prepare schedules, working papers, supporting documents, and financial analysis to support financial statements, audits, FP&A, and special projectsAssist with delivering monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close procedures, including review and variance analysis Audit, monitor, and report on high-volume crypto and cash activity using key internal systems and tools Review daily Cash-in-Transit (CIT) balances and proactively investigate and escalate outstanding cash issues with Finance and CIT partners Ensure the accuracy and integrity of the general ledger across all entities Process banking, crypto, and other financial transactions for review and approval by the Finance team and Executives Uphold, maintain, and continuously improve accounting policies and documentation related to revenue, cost of sales, inventory, fixed assets, loans, and other key accounting areas in accordance with ASPE, US GAAP, and IFRS Ensure compliance with local, provincial, and federal government reporting, licensing, and tax requirements Act as a key contributor and point of contact for external and statutory audit engagementsProvide support, guidance, and informal mentorship to junior accounting team members as needed Lead process optimization, automation initiatives, and ad-hoc analysis as requested by the business

  EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS

4–5 years of progressive accounting experience CPA designation (completed or actively in progress) Strong experience across the full accounting cycle Post-secondary education in Accounting, Finance, or a related field Strong Excel skills, including  – VLOOKUP, INDEX/MATCH, SUMIFS, Pivot Tables, etc. Experience working in a multi-entity environment

Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central Background in fintech, crypto, or high-growth technology environments Hands-on experience with cryptocurrency transactions or digital assets Experience working in multi-entity and multi-currency environments Google Workspace proficiency Exposure to audit leadership or audit preparation in prior roles
