Responsibilities

    • Assisting in all compliance and regulatory affairs with international regulatory bodies, including support for registrations.
    • Preparing regular reports and giving strategic direction to senior management regarding compliance matters.
    • Coordinating various domestic and foreign regulatory filings.
    • Developing compliance policies and auditing program procedures.
    • Focusing on internal compliance policy review, including ongoing assessments, aiding with compliance review, internal audit reviews, and ongoing or ad hoc reviews.
    • Working with both in-house and external advisors to monitor and then implement responses to regulatory developments that impact the businesses.
    • Tracking compliance items for new product/service launches.
    • Collaborating with other departments on special and compliance-specific projects as necessary.
    • Assisting in the development of training materials.

Requirements

    • A minimum of 5 years' experience in a risk, fraud, compliance, AML or regulatory function is required.
    • Preferred candidates will have experience working with any regulated financial services business in legal or compliance roles.
    • Professional certification in compliance risk management.
    • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, global organization while maintaining close contact with relevant teams across multiple locations.
    • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to provide effective and efficient counsel.
    • Good understanding of performing risk assessments, periodic/trigger reviews, and enhanced due diligence.
    • Proficiency in compliance applications and programmes.
    • Good knowledge of national and international AML/CFT legislations.
    • Proactive, diligent team player.
    • Fluency in both English and Kazakh.
