Responsibilities
- Assisting in all compliance and regulatory affairs with international regulatory bodies, including support for registrations.
- Preparing regular reports and giving strategic direction to senior management regarding compliance matters.
- Coordinating various domestic and foreign regulatory filings.
- Developing compliance policies and auditing program procedures.
- Focusing on internal compliance policy review, including ongoing assessments, aiding with compliance review, internal audit reviews, and ongoing or ad hoc reviews.
- Working with both in-house and external advisors to monitor and then implement responses to regulatory developments that impact the businesses.
- Tracking compliance items for new product/service launches.
- Collaborating with other departments on special and compliance-specific projects as necessary.
- Assisting in the development of training materials.
Requirements
- A minimum of 5 years' experience in a risk, fraud, compliance, AML or regulatory function is required.
- Preferred candidates will have experience working with any regulated financial services business in legal or compliance roles.
- Professional certification in compliance risk management.
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, global organization while maintaining close contact with relevant teams across multiple locations.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to provide effective and efficient counsel.
- Good understanding of performing risk assessments, periodic/trigger reviews, and enhanced due diligence.
- Proficiency in compliance applications and programmes.
- Good knowledge of national and international AML/CFT legislations.
- Proactive, diligent team player.
- Fluency in both English and Kazakh.
