Web3 Corporate Development Associate

Blockdaemon is looking for a Corporate Development Senior Associate to join our rapidly growing team. Reporting to the Head of Corporate Development and Strategic Partnerships, the Corporate Development Associate is acritical role that supports and drives the execution of mergers and acquisitions and strategic investment.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Support and drive the execution of mergers and acquisitions and strategic investments, including sourcing opportunities, conducting market landscapes, performing financial analysis, and coordinating all aspects of the end to end deal process, from initial diligence to closing
  • Conduct business case development for potential acquisitions, including building pro forma financial models, conducting valuation analysis, and deal memos to build consensus across Leadership and the wider organization
  • Develop recommendations and actionable plans to implement high priority strategic initiatives
  • Work cross functionally to conduct market research and synthesize findings to propose recommendations that help shape company and product strategy
  • Develop perspectives on key competitors, relative strengths and weaknesses, and potential impact for Blockdaemon
  • Facilitate and maintain relationships with senior executives from startups, VCs, leading blockchain companies, and foundations to inform product and M&A strategy
  • Improve and develop processes for our Corporate Development playbook
  • Performs other duties as assigned

Skills and Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience working in corporate development, investment banking, management consulting, and/or venture capital
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or technical field preferred.
  • Prior experience driving projects focused on mergers and acquisitions and investments
  • Must possess excellent time management and prioritization skills
  • Knowledge of the current crypto and/or blockchain landscape
  • Excellent oral and written communication, including presentation skills
  • Strong experience working on multiple assignments at once, while maintaining project deadlines
  • Excellent attention to detail and an ability to produce high-quality, accurate work in a fast paced environment
  • Works well under pressure and can pivot from projects as needed
