Monet Bank is hiring a
Web3 Director, Corporate Development (M&A)

Compensation: $122k - $165k estimated

Location: TX Plano US

Monet Bank is pioneering the future of banking and money movement—faster, cheaper, and crypto-native. The passage of the Genius Act has enabled a future we want to explore where interchange fees and inefficient payment rails may be replaced with a modern, programmable alternative powered by stablecoins.

At our core, we believe Monet Bank is the essential bridge between crypto and traditional finance (TradFi).

As a profitable, well-capitalized Texas state, FDIC-insured bank, Monet sees the fundamental inefficiency of the 2-3% card network payments and seeks to build a strong team to understand and pursue the future of money and banking.

Director, Corporate Development & M&A will be responsible for capital formation, strategic growth, and investor engagement as Monet scales. This role will interface with potential investors, drive acquisitions, and deliver strategic insights to Monet’s executive team, advisors, and Board.

This is a hands-on execution role requiring investment banking rigor, crypto-native fluency, and exceptional storytelling skills.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Capital Formation & Investor Relations

  • Manage relationships and outreach with prospective investors.
  • Prepare and maintain the data room. Prepare financing decks and Board materials.
  • Maintain company comparables and valuation benchmarks.
  • Coordinate capital raise processes with external bankers, internal and outside counsel, and the Monet leadership team.
  • Run a process for potential deal and term negotiations.

M&A & Strategic Growth

  • Source acquisition targets and develop relationships with target management teams.
  • Build and maintain detailed financial models, including synergy analysis.
  • Conduct due diligence and present strategic recommendations to the executive team.

Strategy & Market Intelligence

  • Monitor competitor activity, industry trends, and regulatory developments.
  • Attend major industry conferences (e.g., Money 20/20, Bitcoin Conference) to expand Monet’s presence and sourcing pipeline.
  • Deliver intelligence and strategic analysis to the executive team.

Qualifications

  • Experience: 6–10+ years in sell-side investment banking, private equity, or corporate development, ideally focused on FinTech, payments, or digital assets. Proven experience executing capital raises and/or M&A transactions.
  • Strong Crypto-Native Familiarity: Knowledgeable in DeFi, wallets, and the digital asset ecosystem.

Skills:

  • Expert in financial modeling, valuation, and maintaining company comparables.
  • Strong negotiation and deal management skills.
  • Exceptional deck-writing, strategic storytelling, and communication skills.
  • Strong project management skills for coordinating with bankers, counsel, and leadership.

This position can be based in Plano, Texas or New York with a requirement to travel to Plano on a regular basis.

If you are looking to be a part of a winning team and meet the above requirements, we look forward to hearing from you.
