The EDD Analyst is part of the MLRO Team based in Ireland and reports in to the Financial Crimes Manager. This position is responsible for the due diligence review of the already onboarded customers to aid in the detection of potential money laundering, terrorist financing and fraud using a risk-based approach while applying the company’s Compliance Program and related policies and procedures.
- In this role, you will:
- Act as a point of escalation for reviews received from the EDD Team in Sofia, Bulgaria;
- Communicate with the the EDD Team and MLRO Team to obtain all necessary information and documentation;
- Generate and maintain appropriate case documentation;
- Coach junior analysts and help increase the organisational capability of the EDD team;
- Identify risks and suggest implementation of applicable controls to mitigate them;
- Advise on any issues or complex cases and ensure their resolution;
- Keep backlogs at a minimum;
- Review and give direction on PEPs and client’s with adverse media;
- Regular reporting to the MLRO Team;
- Other ad-hoc business due diligence related tasks.
- Prior experience 1- 3 years in EDD or other relevant experience;
- ACAMS or ICA qualification strongly preferred;
- Bachelor's level degree or professional qualification;
- Good oral and written communication skills required;
- Proficiency in verbal and written English.
