BitGo is hiring a Web3 ERM Director - Risk Incidents

This position will report to the VP, Enterprise Risk Management and will support implementation of BitGo’s Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) Framework throughout the organization. The Risk Incident Director will assist in the development and execution of ERM tools, practices, and policies to analyze and report enterprise risk, with special emphasis on the Risk Incident Reporting programs. The role covers the breadth of BitGo’s organization and brings opportunities for continuous learning and future career advancement.
Responsibilities
- Working with ERM team members to implement the evolving ERM Framework and drive a risk-aware culture throughout the organization.
- Continuously interacting with business units and support functions to encourage timely reporting of risk incidents.
- Reviewing risk incident descriptions for thoroughness and quality; following up with reporters to obtain additional information and clarifications.
- Conducting root cause analyses on identified risk incidents and control weaknesses to recommend improvements.
- Monitoring the implementation of action plans to remediate documented issues.
- Assessing risk incidents and classifying within the common taxonomy to facilitate statistical analysis.
- Aggregating and analyzing ERM Program data to provide actionable information to management.
- Assisting the VP, Enterprise Risk Management in preparing reports to management risk committees and the Board of Directors.
- Partnering with peers in other departments to ensure consistent implementation of the ERM Framework principles.
Requirements

- BA / BS in a business or technical field.
- 7 – 10 years of experience, with audit, risk, consulting, or project management preferred.
- High attention to detail, accuracy, and thoroughness.
- Inquisitive nature, resourcefulness, and ability to seek out information.
- Commitment to quality work product and organizational ethics, integrity, and compliance.
- Strong problem-solving skills, investigative, and analytical skills including ability to effectively address issues in collaboration with others.
- Ability to work independently and manage through ambiguous situations, with minimal supervision.
- Capability to act proactively and work effectively across business units, functions and regional locations.
- Excellent interpersonal and oral and written communication skills; with demonstrated ability to develop trusted working relationships at all levels of the organization.
- Enthusiasm for blockchain technology and cryptocurrencies.
- Knowledge of programming languages used by blockchains a plus.
