Job Title: Event Coordinator


As the Event Coordinator at Light Node Ventures, you will play a crucial role in orchestrating immersive and impactful events that showcase our firm's expertise within the dynamic crypto and web3 space. Working closely with cross-functional teams, you will anticipate organizational needs, streamline processes, and maintain a well-organized and efficient event planning environment. Your proactive approach, exceptional attention to detail, and ability to multitask will be invaluable assets in this fast-paced and demanding role. You will be responsible for seamlessly executing events that foster meaningful connections, facilitate knowledge sharing, and position Light Node Ventures as a thought leader in the industry. Responsibilities:

  • Organize and execute a diverse range of events, including meetups, workshops, and hackathons, catering to diverse audiences and objectives.
  • Develop and implement college and university programming, fostering collaboration and engagement with academic communities.
  • Oversee the entire event lifecycle, from pre-planning and resource allocation to on-site coordination, marketing efforts, and post-event follow-up, ensuring seamless execution.
  • Meticulously manage event logistics, including ordering supplies, negotiating favorable rates and terms with vendors, and ensuring timely arrivals.
  • Foster effective and collaborative relationships with internal teams and external stakeholders, facilitating open communication and aligning efforts.
  • Supervise and coordinate event staff, assign duties, and provide clear direction to ensure smooth operations.
  • Conduct comprehensive post-event data analysis and strategic evaluations, utilizing insights to inform and enhance future events.
  • Manage pre-event marketing campaigns, leveraging various channels to build anticipation and maximize attendance.
  • Identify and secure engaging speakers and panelists, aligning with the event's theme and objectives.
  • Proficiently utilize virtual meeting platforms such as Zoom, Cisco Webex, and others, enabling seamless remote participation and engagement.
  • Coordinate and facilitate pre-event panel practice sessions, ensuring speakers are well-prepared and aligned.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Marketing, Business, Communications, or a related field.
  • 2-3 years of proven experience in planning and executing events of varying sizes and complexities.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage external vendor resources and build strong professional relationships.
  • Exceptional project management skills, with a track record of organizing and coordinating multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, enabling clear and effective communication across diverse stakeholders.
  • Adept at multitasking and adapting to changing priorities and responsibilities with ease.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite and relevant event management software.
  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret data and derive actionable insights.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment while maintaining composure under pressure.
