Responsibilities:
- Design, develop and implement scalable finance operations processes and controls driving efficiencies within the Operations team;
- Lead on projects across Finance Operations;
- Prepare and deliver business reviews regarding progress;
- Hire, mentor and lead a FinOps team to ensure that we have appropriate and robust practices in place at all times;
- Developing plans for future integrations such as working with our engineers to automate the production elements of this role, allowing you to focus on where your knowledge and skills provide the most value;
- Planning out how we’ll handle financial operations as we expand;Provide operational support across the organisation where required.
Requirement:
- Professional accounting and/or commercial qualification with significant post qualified experience
- Proven experience within FinOps or equivalent role within FinTech
- Advanced MS Office tools capability, specifically Excel and PowerPoint
- Strong knowledge/experience of the fintech industry, specifically the payments and payment card domains and products
- Experience of implementing processes/tools with a goal of automation within a Finance team and wider organisation
- Knowledge of data analysis and forecasting models
- Demonstrated understanding of UK and/or EU regulatory frameworks and requirements related to financial institutions, Electronic Money, and payments
- Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills and a proven history of working effectively with people at all levels both inside and outside the Company and within and across a decentralised international environment
- Proven analytical, organisational, decision-making and project management skills
- Demonstrated ability to execute under pressure whilst meeting deadlines
- High degree of integrity, initiative, perseverance, and leadership skills
- Self-motivated with a desire to learn and contribute within a high performing environment
- Clear thinker with ability to understand end to end processes, navigate complexity and identify improvement & simplification opportunities, and design and implement solutions
- Flexibility – ability to work in a flexible manner, to meet changing priorities
