About the Opportunity

In this 1st Line role, you will support the Head of Financial Crime Operations, in building and supporting the 1st line financial crime crypto framework, for all cryptoasset developments, relationships, and associated financial crime risk mitigation. Appropriately liaise with internal and external senior leaders across the bank and customer relationships. About You

The Ideal candidate:

You will possess a strong understanding of Crypto assets and you must already be working in the Crypto space. We will not accept applications from people who do not already possess experience with Crypto assets.

Key tasks will include but not be limited to:

-Taking into consideration the constantly evolving Crypto asset landscape, lead the Line 1 Financial crime crypto, framework across ClearBank, in building and maintaining a robust framework across existing and prospective customers, products and controls, awareness to all relevant stakeholders throughout the bank

-Be responsible for managing the Crypto asset-related financial crime risks as per compliance standards and risk-based approach documentation

-Subject matter expect for crypto product design, deployment and implementation

-Support the onboarding of customers, completion of enhanced due diligence, at onboarding and on an ongoing basis, for prospects and customers exposed to Crypto assets

- Lead engagements with crypto associated customers, senior management interviews, AML (Anti Money Laundering) assessments and audit to assess the customers AML effectiveness

-Oversee ClearBank’s crypto-related systems and controls, and advise on enhancements to financial crime systems and controls

-Support the embedded banking financial crime compliance team for customers exposed to Crypto assets

-Attend financial crime compliance committee

-Represent ClearBank in industry best practice advocacy groups

-Support the Financial Crime Operations team in responding to regulatory queries related to Crypto asset risks

-Support the 2nd Financial Crime & Risk function, preparing papers and reports on Crypto asset risks for the appropriate governance fora

-Experience working with blockchain monitoring tools

-Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to develop effective trustworthy relationships with the Operations, Information Security and Technology departments and business stakeholders

-Understanding of the 3 Lines Model

-Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal to be able to articulate complex crypto risks in simple business terms

-Excellent problem solving and self-management skills in order to tactically and analytically solve technical problems and successfully handle management information and metrics design, collection, analysis, reports, etc.
