The Role

We are looking for an experienced operator to launch and lead a new London-based programme to be run in exclusive collaboration with the Tezos Foundation, an organisation whose mission is to promote the Tezos protocol through grants and other capital deployment vehicles. In addition to the usual characteristics EF selects for, potential founders for the programme will need to demonstrate knowledge and skills in relevant blockchain technology. Tezos technology will be core or adjacent to the value proposition of companies that are built on the programme. Accountable for the complete planning, delivery and outcomes of the programme, the GM will hire and lead a team dedicated to delighting our customers and leveraging the value of the EF community, fundraising and networking ecosystems for the benefit of our cohorts of founders. Annually, you'll actively supercharge the career paths of 100 of the smartest, most ambitious people in Europe and directly contribute to the creation of the next wave of impactful, globally important companies. What You’ll Do

We're an unusual hybrid: we think and grow like an operating company, but our business model is that of a venture capital firm. You will be responsible for the operations of the site, alongside managing our P&L and maximising returns for our investors.

You’ll oversee all parts of the programme, with teams dedicated to:

• Talent: Leading a team of talent specialists to find and attract the individuals who will join our programme. This includes selecting the right prospective founders to join our programme and ensuring we are choosing world-class outlier individuals. It also includes overseeing the local strategy to identify and attract these individuals, who may hail not just from London / UK, but around the region.
• Programme: This is our company formation phase. You will lead the team that takes cohorts of 50 individuals at a time and turns them into exciting, investable, scaleable companies. Following our well researched and proven methodology, you’ll be accountable for ensuring we produce world-class companies and will support the EF Investment Committee in making the right investment choices.
• Fundraising: This part of our programme focuses on getting our companies funded by the investing ecosystem. You will collaborate with specialist teams who manage the fundraising process for our companies, alongside building relationships with the local VC and investor ecosystem that can be leveraged on behalf of the startups created on the Tezos Foundation Programme. As part of our global leadership group, you’ll also build and nurture first class cross-functional relationships with ourexpert central and global teams who provide essential partnership on everything from legal to finance, to product, data and people. You’ll also manage and guide EF’s collaboration with the Tezos Foundation - from an initial partnership of one year, we expect numerous continuing and new opportunities to arise. Your success will be EF’s success, with the joint venture representing a catalysing opportunity in how we continue to build out our global platform in the future. ### About You
• You have a track record spanning 8-10+ years succeeding in challenging roles that required first-class operational skills;
• You have gained substantial expertise in blockchain and cryptocurrency that can benefit founders on the programme in their mission to build out companies based on the Tezos protocol;
• You truly believe in Entrepreneur First's mission and see this role as a pivotal contribution to EF’s trajectory and next phase of growth;
• You have a track record of hiring, developing and inspiring exceptional individuals;
• You demonstrate cross-functional leadership experience and are able to influence other leaders across an international organisation to make change happen;
• You’re able to nurture peer-like relationships with stakeholders at the highest level, for example investors, government officials, academics and university staff;
• You thrive in a fast-paced, often scrappy, sometimes chaotic environment and are excited to harness the best of that while helping us scale effectively.
