Web3 General Manager, Joint Ventures

SuperLayer is a crypto venture studio led by Kevin Chou and Mahesh Vellanki, who between them have launched multiple successful SocialFi, GameFi and web3 companies including Kabam (free-to-play games, exited for ~$1B), GenG (esports), Forte (blockchain for gaming, >$1B latest valuation) and Rally.io (creator coins, >$3B total market cap). SuperLayer builds tokenized consumer businesses, supercharging their development with crypto technology and expertise learned from Rally and Forte that can take a typical 2-3 year build and instead launch new businesses in 4-6 months.

In addition to SuperLayer’s core model of developing and incubating concepts internally, we also identify external web3 joint venture (“JV”) opportunities and utilize our deep expertise to deliver value and results to partner companies. We’re looking to add a General Manager, Joint Ventures to the SuperLayer core team to lead and drive success for our existing JVs, while also identifying, assessing and executing new JV opportunities. This role will be deeply impactful for SuperLayer and our JV partners, ensuring we distinguish ourselves through execution from deal signing through product launch.

REQUIREMENTS

In this role you will…

• Architect and execute the SuperLayer JV strategy to identify key verticals, ownership models and partner characteristics
• Partner with our existing JVs to help shape and drive the project, while providing them with the resources, tools, and knowledge needed to create thriving web3 businesses, including coordinating and managing key SuperLayer resources
• Serve as the single point of leadership contact for JV partners
• Assess new web3 JV opportunities for SuperLayer, leading deal execution and ultimately project implementation
• Define and track key performance indicators for JV opportunities and outcomes
• Share back key market and project learnings to the SuperLayer team for incorporation across all projects

To be a good fit for us you have…

• Founder experience or a long track record of working closely with founders
• Background and understanding of cryptocurrencies and experience working in the industry
• Expertise in structuring, negotiating and executing on partnership agreements
• Experience working with corporations to execute complex, cross functional projects successfully
