About The Role
We are looking for a Head of Finance to develop and lead all finance efforts for the Company. This individual will report directly to the CEO and will provide tactical and strategic support in all aspects of our finances. The successful candidate will be a strategic individual with financial and accounting management experience in a rapidly growing start-up environment. This role will be ever changing and will require the candidate to be flexible and open-minded, while paying close attention to detail and processes.
A day in the life of our Head of Finance

• Work with the CEO to develop company’s strategic planning, articulating critical priorities, and corresponding investment
• Develop C-Level deliverables.
• Direct all aspects of finance and accounting operations
• Build best-in-class finance and accounting practices focusing on streamlined systems and processes; and sustained growth
• Oversee all transactions related to general ledger, receivables, payables, and financial reporting
• Coordinate, prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual reports
• Coordinate corporate tax reporting and preparation of tax returns with outside tax accountants
• Prepare and outline complex models into simple terms that others can work with
• Ensure that the operating infrastructure is in place to support the achievement of financial targets and long-range plans aligned with the organization’s strategic plans
• Lead financial planning, budgeting, and reporting and create and maintain budgeting tools
• Support the CEO in developing the corporate fundraising strategy and managing relationships with partners and investors
• Analyze financial data and provide forecasting support
• Prepare reports and projections based on financial data
• Forecast monthly, quarterly, and annual results
• Conduct profit and cost analyses
• Ensure all accounting activities and internal audits comply with financial regulations
• Show ability as an outward-facing Leader with strong aptitude toward building a high-performing Finance team as the company grows
  
  

About You

• 7-10 years of experience
• BSc/BA in Accounting, Finance, or relevant field
• Excellent mathematical and analysis skills
• Strong interest and/or experience in building and leading departments and individuals
• Verbal and written communication skills to create reports and present them to others
• Knowledge of analysis and financial software
• Experience analyzing performance metrics and large data sets
• Experience driving strategy while also "rolling up your sleeves" to execute initiatives as needed
• Hands-on experience with budgeting and risk management
• Excellent knowledge of data analysis and forecasting models
• Proficiency in accounting software
• Solid analytical and decision-making skills
• Innate leadership abilities
